EFAW - EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK
(One Day) £65 pp

Duration - 1 day (6 hours)

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is well suited to the lower risk sectors such as office work or retail. Health and safety regulations require that an employer provides suitable first aid arrangements for any person who is injured in the work place.
If you work in a higher risk environment such as Emergency services, manufacturing, construction or chemical engineering, then the 3 day First Aid at Work course will be ideal for the level of knowledge and cover that you will need.
Upon completion of the 1 day EFAW course, candidates will have passed Syllabus elements such as:

Roles and Responsibilities of a First Aider

Scene and casualty assessment

Management of an unconscious casualty
-
Recovery position
-
CPR of both Adult and Child casualties

Appropriate use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Bleeding
-
Seizures
-
Management of a choking casualty
-
Shock
Candidates will be issued with a level certificate which will last them 3 years from the date of issue.
FAW - FIRST AID AT WORK
(Three Days) £150 pp
Level - 3
Duration - 3 days (18 hours)

Our 3 day First Aid at Work course allows those that work in higher risk sectors such as manufacturing, chemical plants, garages or engineering to be equipped with the knowledge to deal with more serious First Aid events.
In addition to the 1 day EFAW course, on the 3 day course you will learn safe and effective reporting of incidents at work (RIDDOR), learn how to deal with serious burns and dangerous bleeds. Once this course is completed, candidates will be able to deliver:

CPR to adults and children

Control of serious/catastrophic bleeds

Appropriate care for seizures

Appropriate care for shock

Appropriate care for Epilepsy

Appropriate care for fractures

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID
(One Day) £80 pp

Duration - 2 days (12 hours) Blended Courses Available

Our paediatric courses are designed for people who work in sectors involving children, infants or babies. Nursery staff, primary and secondary school staff, nannies, Au Pairs and child minders all require this qualification. We comply with and teach to the current 2021 UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
This course runs over 2 days (12 hours total) and meets the OFSTED and Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.
The course syllabus covers many of the aspects of the EFAW and FAW courses but is more specific to children and infants.
BABY AND INFANT FIRST AID
Duration: 2 - 3 hours
£20pp, minimum 6 (Group bookings available with discount)
This course is ideal for new or expectant parents, or anyone looking to gain basic knowledge of life saving skills involving babies or infants.
Would you know what to do if your baby or child needed emergency help? In the UK, many tragic incidents in the home involving baby's or infants could be avoided if the parents had this important life saving knowledge.
This course covers life saving topics such as:
Primary assessment of an unresponsive casualty
Lifesaving CPR
Bleeding recognition and treatment
Burns
Seizures
Febrile convulsions
Shock
Meningitis
This course is not certificated but you will finish the session with a much greater depth of knowledge when it comes to looking after your young ones.

Family First Aid
Duration: 3 - 4 hours
£25pp minimum 6 (Group bookings available with discount)
This Course is Family focused and is aimed at raising awareness and skills of how to deal with emergency situations in the home or with friends and family.
Children are also welcome to join this class but they will not be being assessed. The course is aimed at all people 16 or over who look after, and take care of their loved ones.
The course is great for Parents, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, teenagers who may take care of younger siblings and associated Family and friends. Topics covered will include:
Casualty assessment
Baby, Infant and Adult CPR
Recovery position
Burns
Shock
Poisening
Bleeds and Bandaging
Strains and Sprains
You will finish the course with a certificate to last you 3 years.
Please note, this course will not cover you in the workplace.
